What a magical day it was at Hoffman Ford in Harrisburg as Santa's sleigh touched down on the rooftop, bringing holiday cheer to children and families in our community! We more than doubled our impact from last year and aim to double or triple it again next year!
At Bricks for Good, we believe in the power of community and collaboration, and we were thrilled to partner with TransCore for a recent volunteer event in Harrisburg. As part of their October “Month of Service,” employees at TransCore in Harrisburg rolled up their sleeves to sort LEGO bricks by element type, preparing each piece for our community building workshops.
We had nearly 100 people show up for our roller skate party! We’re pleased to announce that every child had fun, each family received a LEGO gift, and there were no reported injuries! It was great to reflect on the past year and see some familiar faces, especially the incredible children we've had the privilege to interact with and support.
We have exciting news! Bricks for Good has teamed up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help make a wish come true for an 11-year-old LEGO-lover named Devine from Enola. He was first diagnosed with cancer in 2017 but then after receiving treatment and going into remission, it returned last year.
Brick Fest Live 2024 in Harrisburg was a great success! Many thanks to everyone who stopped by our display to show your support! We did another Mr. Bear LEGO giveaway during the event and received HUNDREDS of submissions! Keep an eye on your mailboxes—we’ll announce the winner soon!
As soft snowflakes danced over the North Pole last night, the glow of Santa’s sleigh and reindeer graced the skies of central Pennsylvania. The magic of the season brought Santa himself to Hoffman Ford in Harrisburg, where the children of Bricks for Good eagerly awaited his arrival.
