Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization. We perform a thorough screening of all volunteers before being onboarded with the following goals in mind:

1. To ensure the safety and security of the organization and its stakeholders by identifying potential risks.

2. To maintain the organization’s reputation, align volunteers with suitable roles for effective contribution, and instill trust among beneficiaries and donors.

3. To ensure compliance with partner requirements, optimize resource allocation, and preserve our unique culture and values.

In essence, a thorough screening process safeguards the organization’s integrity and maximizes the impact and harmony of volunteer contributions. This ensures that volunteers are a good fit, both for the organization’s needs and for the safety and well-being of everyone associated with us.

While the enthusiasm and willingness of individuals who wish to volunteer are commendable, not everyone who applies to be a volunteer is accepted.

    Mandated Reporting

At Bricks for Good, we deeply value our volunteers' commitment to enhancing the lives of children within our community through charitable service. While our primary goal is to bring joy, imagination, and equal opportunities to every child through the power of LEGO play, we must acknowledge the potential challenges associated with our mission.

In our dedication to the well-being and preservation of a child's innocent spirit, it is essential that we remain vigilant and proactive in safeguarding their rights and safety. Therefore, as a volunteer with Bricks for Good, you are entrusted with the responsibility of being a mandated reporter. This designation requires that any suspicion or evidence of child abuse or neglect be promptly reported to the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.

In the unlikely event that you encounter a situation requiring such action, Bricks for Good is committed to providing guidance and requisite training to ensure the appropriate reporting protocols are followed.

Upon commencement of your volunteer journey with us, you will receive comprehensive information regarding mandated reporting to ensure clarity and preparedness.

Please acknowledge your agreement to this mandated reporting responsibility.
