As we wrap up the holiday season, I know that it can sometimes be difficult to embrace the joy we’re “supposed” to feel. For some, the holidays bring painful reminders of loved ones we’ve lost, while others may experience loneliness, particularly when family is far away or no longer around. Some are also facing financial stress or relationship struggles. It can be easy to feel the pressure to be jolly and joyful, especially when the darkness seems to weigh heavy.
That’s one of the many reasons I founded Bricks for Good. Our mission has always been about more than just delivering LEGO sets to children in need. It’s about offering a sense of care, comfort, and connection with others. We’re sharing a piece of ourselves with these families by bringing a little light into their lives, even if only for a moment. It’s a reminder of the power of small acts of kindness to lift others up, and I’m deeply grateful to be part of this community that makes it all possible.
As I reflect on our most recent Santa’s Visit, I encourage you to take a moment during this busy season to reflect on the gift you are to the world. Whether you can find joy today, tomorrow, or sometime before the season ends, don’t forget to acknowledge that YOU are a gift. Your presence, your kindness, and your unique contributions matter!
Even when we can’t always see it, someone in your circle considers you a blessing—and that’s the most magical thing we can offer each other: being there for one another and giving of ourselves.
Thank you all for your continued support, for sharing in the mission of Bricks for Good, and for being the bright lights that make this world a little warmer.
Wishing you all peace, joy, and the reminder that you are appreciated,
Lee Barber
Chairman of the Board of Directors
